China¡¯s 7 Coal-to-Oil projects are mainly invested by state-owned coal mining companies. All the projects utilize indirect liquefaction process except Shenhua Ordos DCL project. Total production capacity of these projects will be 6 mtpa for 1st phase, and then 70 mtpa for the long term.
Shenhua Ordos DCL Plant: Shenhua Group plans to invest 240 billion RMB to shape this world's largest DCL base with a production capacity of 30 million tpa oil products by 2020. The project's 1st phase was commissioned with capacity of 1.08 million tpa in 2009. The 2nd phase will expand the production capacity to 5 million tpa.
